DPO Support Services

We can help you to understand and comply with your DPO obligations.

The GDPR requires that some organisations appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO). The first step is identifying whether you must appoint a mandatory DPO. We can help you do that, following a brief DPO assessment meeting.

Even if your organisation does not have to appoint a DPO, it makes sense to have someone in your organisation who is responsible for data protection compliance. Either way, we can help your DPO or privacy contact person to fulfil their obligations.

How we deliver these services:

Depending on your needs, we can deliver these services to your organisation on-site or remotely, or a combination of both. Your DPO support can be either fully outsourced to Pembroke Privacy or we can assist your in-house team as required. We will provide you with a monthly report detailing ongoing progress.

Depending on your needs, we can tailor our support services to include some or all of the following elements:

DPO Function

  • Create a Privacy Framework
  • Structure the team
  • Develop a privacy strategy
  • Implement the framework
  • Assess the effectiveness of implementation
  • Report to senior management. We have developed a DPO report tool that helps you clearly and effectively report on strategy and implementation to senior management.

DPO Support

  • Advice on data processing agreements, contracts, privacy notices etc
  • Risk assessments on the whole organisation, including a gap analysis to identify areas of risk and recommend how to minimise the risks
  • Risk assessments of specific projects e.g. DPIAs
  • Data subject rights (DSARs)
  • Data protection training
  • Updating data protection policies, procedures and standards
  • Dealing with day-to-day data protection queries from all areas of your organisation
  • Data security breach management
